Mary’s Story
My Lyme disease symptom continued to multiply until I was not only having pain in my joints, muscle fatigue and inflamed lymph nodes, but also painfully swollen breasts, muscle twitching, numbness on the left side of my body from my face to my foot, feeling of electrical shocks through my feet, legs & hands, cramping causing difficulty in sleep, low grade fevers, flu-like symptoms, pain and weakness in the back of my neck so severe that I had to support it with a pillow most of the time. I was also dealing with stiffness, rashes, burning skin, blurry vision, dizziness, vomiting, difficulty breathing, chest pains, migraines, very stiff and painful hands, numbness, lack of blood circulation in the tip of some fingers and toes, paraesthesia, feeling of inflammation throughout my entire body & a sharp decline in my ability to remember anything. Most concerning was that often, I would only have pain on one side of my body. I would have a migraine on the left side of my head all the way down to my left foot. Lyme disease has made life unbearable.
