ILADS Conference
The International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS) provides numerous educational resources to medical practitioners about the diagnosis and treatment of Lyme and other tick-borne diseases. Physicians wishing to learn about the intricacies of this complex medical problem are encouraged to attend the annual ILADS conference which offers many excellent and fully-accredited CME courses.
Online Education for Medical Practitioners
The Texas Lyme Disease Association supports the work of Dr. Betty Maloney, a Minnesota family physician, and the Partnership for Tick-borne Disease Education to develop and promote online Continuing Medical Education courses for medical practitioners around the state and across the nation.
Dr. Maloney began offering accredited CME programs on Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses in 2007. She has published papers on Lyme disease in peer-reviewed journals and she frequently lectures on tick-borne illnesses at hospitals and medical conferences.
The CME courses listed below are accredited by the American Academy of Family Physicians, one of the most respected accreditation organizations in the country. Each course is approved for up to 1.5 prescribed credits by the AAFP. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
